Self Reflection

That’s what happens when you go to school at 19 rather than having a baby. Some say it’s just as hard or harder but as a mom, I can personally tell you, there is nothing harder and more personal than raising a child right. I’ve been an absent mom for most of the last 10 years, something I really think about when I’m forced into self reflection like I was a week ago. My son was on the phone call to my folks and told me he was sorry I was where I was. That’s my charming little libra for you. He loves me regardless of what I’ve done which is why I had a child I didn’t deserve because I felt like that would keep me on this earth. And it has. I won’t leave him an orphan.

One day my son will live with me. One day everyone will get along. One day finances will never be an issue again. One day I’ll get to relive all these moments and years I’ve missed.
